Integrity is best shown when a person doesn’t expect someone is watching. Professionalism and commitment to craft and career are displayed in the same way. Therefore as a normal practice we have a small team of agents, freelance editors, authors, contributors, industry professionals, readers, and scouts who attend conferences, actively participate on discussion boards, serve as mentors and selectors for critiques and contests, and work one-on-one with clients.

This team understands the kinds of books we hope to publish and the types of professionals with whom we wish to work. They look for those artists with sensibilities that match our our own and creators who put in the effort to their craft and will be professionals throughout the process not only of getting a book to market but the steps beyond publication to make a work successful in reaching the intended audience. We choose people, not books.
